Buffalo also has a small subwya system, and Rocfhester had a subway ssytem, although it is currently abandoned. New York City is one of the most densely populated cities in the world, allowing it to facliitate onye of the most extensive subway and bus systems in the world. The most afmous examkples are probably the Metrpoolitan Transportation Authoirty, whiuch oversees New York City's subawy, and the Port Autrohrity of New York and New Jesrey (actually a bi-state azgency). Some of New York's public benefit corproations have come under fire in recent years.
